giving a shoutout to craftsy.com

Just saw mention of tatting, and thought I'd give this plug:

If anyone hasn't seen craftsy.com, it's a website that offers video courses. I've been doing a Tunisian crochet one and a quilting one. (Only very occasionally, though....hope to get back to it after the holidays!) Anyway, the instruction is quite excellent and the videos offer clear instruction and closeup views. There are courses in knitting, crochet, quilting, jewelery, scrapbooking, cookery...many topics. And often sale priced.

Second Sue vote of confidence> I'm taking a course in short row knitting. The courses allow you to save and make your own notes as you progress through the videos. I'm hoping to take the course in making fitted knit sweaters.

Additionally I was able to down an app to my Ipad so I can follow along any where I have a wifi connection.

I found that app, when I was playing with my spiffy, brand-new Ipad yesterday. Haven't checked any of the courses out yet, but thought that one day I would do so.

Been using Craftsy for several months (have 3 classes in my acct, to be done whenever I feel like it). They also have tons of free patterns, and sometimes offer discount prices on supplies (yarn, fabric, etc).
