glad help

I am working on my UFO's in my off season from work this winter. One is for a just retired gardener at a historic site. His favourite flower is the gladiouis (spelling) or glad for short. He had even created a species of this plant. I have the tea towel transfer of the "Colonial Girl" watering a garden. Even though our historical era is not colonial but hoop skirt it works. I have 2 other of this series for another retired members of the village/

Does anyone know of a ribbon emb glad or a brazilian emb glad./ pattern?

That would be the perfect flower for the girl to water.

ANy ideas or sources would help.

thanks Nanc it's 2:14 in the morning and I'm not asleep yet.....menopause insomnia or the diet coke I drank with dinner?

Or all of the above?

Bruce's ribbon pattern looks easy enough

But if you get desperate, let me know off list and I'll see if I have a smallish pattern for a glad that might work and I'll send you the chart.

IT's now 11:15 in the morning and I found my enclycopedia of ribbon emb flowers by Deanna Hall West, sure enough there wa a glad, The last time I did ribbon emb., I remember designing my own flowers, painting the ribbon etc. I wanted something a little quicker and easier. It can take my mind a while to put all the pieces together.

Thanks Bruce and Cheryl, those designs are lovely. When it is finished I will photogrraph it and set up a place to view my embroidery.
