Hey Baltimore/DC crew -

I sent a note to Bobbie directly, but.....Should we try to do a get-together? I know that Donna is away during part of that time, but maybe we could do Monday the 25th? There is Needlewoman East in Falls Church, and the Waste Knot (canvas oriented) in Arlington. Just a thought. And Stitchers Stash in Fairfax. Mt Vernon to In Stitches would be a haul for the Baltimore ladies. But....some ideas.

Anyhow - I'll be cramming to finish proposals for the 22nd, and going on EGA chapter tour to Winterthur on Saturday.

Ideas? Of course we can take this off-line to our e-mails.

LOL - understood. However, at the present due to the final throes of repair by the builder the sunroom is full of the living room stuff, etc, the family room has some overflow, and the guestroom covered by the sorting through of what is still going out to charities, leftovers from a gala I ran, and a lot of hockey ref-wear. Um, also - as I'm just about done putting the finish on the unfinished furniture we got for the 2nd guestroom/DH's "room" & a piece for the family room, there is some additional shuffling of things into the upstairs open hall/loft. I don't really worry about states of perfection - that went a long time ago. Just the general it's nice for the guests to have a place to be without fear of attack by heaps of stuff, hockey-gear, vicious dust-bunnies, etc......

ROTFLMAO "vicious dust bunnies" - is THAT what I heard growling last night? I thought the Mr. had just taken up snoring....

Oh man and how - I'm finding the strangest things in their tummies, floss orts, bits of hockey tape...

Well, I'm pretty sure 'round here it's the vicious dust bunnies, as DH denies all rumors of any snoring. Of course, once the VDBs get going, next is Puckster wuffling, snortling, and paws going - all in his sleep as well

- but those retriever/bird dog instincts seem to apply in his sleep, and to bunnies as well (not that he has ever hurt a creature). The VDBs just cling to him...maybe they recognize him as an ancestor...so to speak.

Yes, but not ref gear - which might scare her - and roller gear....Plus, we try (note the try) to be hospitable to our guests. I did promise her a room with adjoining bath

LOL - that is definitely not the problem here - especially as the laundry is upstairs on the bedroom level. Anything stinky is left down 2 floors below, and airing in the fitness room. Upstairs - stuff goes mostly right into the laundry room. Though I will confess that at times the darn ref gear bag is sitting in the foyer way too long. And I don't like thinking about the goalie body bag which is sitting in the garage... Sadly, the stink source in the guest room is the airing with little fan station for shin pads and skates. But, that room right now looks like a hockey store. There is an incredible amount of gear, understuff, sweaters, socks, accessories pile up all over the bed. You could likely shop for the namesake here - I bet my "thinner" days gear might fit her....Hmmmmm.

I'll be home sometime Saturday evening and my head will still be spinning. I am in a state of complete discombobulation right now. Have not had a moment to stop and think for a week. Yesterday was major shopping for DD's new apartment - thank you, IKEA! - and I am leaving large chunks of money in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Will be home late Saturday after the Winterthur tour. I have Sunday and Monday reserved for stitching a project that returns to its owner on Monday evening.

I'm not sure I have any free time on Monday. But maybe I can squeeze in some moments...

I'm also thinking Monday - so maybe we can hook-up with Bobbie for lunch and then I'll do a quickie shop with her? Anyhow - any others in the area want to meet us - I know that Sue H. cannot make it. Will follow-up directly.

I too will be at Winterthur on Saturday, then busy Sat night, then Sunday at my ref re-cert seminar.....
