Happy Dance....first finish of 09

Finally I finished Grand Teton Circle. (Stitching that is, gettingprojects framed, etc. is another story). It was started last fall but interrupted for Xmas projects. Done just in time to start up the SAL project.

My thanks to Gillian for posting her picture of this. My mom thanks you too. Until she got to the Canadian Rockies the Tetons were her favorite mountains. I think we made 5 trips there from 65 to 94.

About three years ago we spent the summer wandering from the Tetons to Yellowstone to Glacier and up to Banff...about a couple of weeks in each place. I found the circular picture of the Tetons ( I think it was a kit, not too sure) in the Gift Shop for the Elk Sanctuary at Jackson Hole. The designer, Cheri Fulmer (?) lives in the Tetons, and has done many National Park designs, but this circle was a fund-raiser. I thought it would make a lovely summer souvenir. It hangs on my wall as I type. That whole part of the American continent is absolutely gorgeous!

The year after we were in Maine, and I found a nice little picture there as our "souvenir".

Here's the picture on the store's website. Sometime soon I hope to get pictures up on rctnp.

In another post I linked to the circle chart. They sell both the chart and a kit, as well as her other National Park designs.

Another of my mom's favorite places. She and my dad went there for

25 years in the fall. I got a small kit of the Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Done but not yet framed.

This is too funny - I've got this in my UFO pile - I did it in needlepoint with floss on 18 count. I haven't finsihed the sky. Great piece!
