Happy, Happy Dance - Finished How Great

Yes, almost 3 years later I have finally finished "How Great Thou Art." I did the "heavy leading" couching today. A picture is posted on RCTNP.

Now to figure out the next project. I think it will be a small one.

That's gorgeous, Nancy! I can see why it took you 3 years! You must be very proud of it.

=EF=BF=BDI did the "heavy leading"

Thanks to everyone for your comments. When I got it I was just looking for something with "bright" colors after having done a number of projects with browns and muted blues. Little did I realize it would take so long. And especially all the backstitching for the "leading" and the words. One+ spools of Kreinik cord later... Of course I did a number of small projects. THe SAL project came at just the right time.

I think many of us were having a bad day yesterday lol In an effort to clean my huge living room windows I somehow got locked out on to my balcony and had to call upon a passing stranger to come up and let me back in ! An hour in the very cold wind seeing the cat watch me from inside. Someone else here had a bad day too, so you are not alone.

Lol, as alright as I ever am ! When going out my cell phone was lying on the kitchen counter and the thought popped through my mind, take that with you, but went straight out the other side.

He was a very nice man, no trace of 'stupid woman' in his attitude, coming to visit his mum in this building. In fact he called back about an hour later to tell me he had played with the door on his mothers balcony and found a way to trick it with the lock so that could not happen again. I must remember to pass that round at the next meeting.

Are you talking about me??? If so, I'll admit to STUPID. I mean really STUPID!

I have very dry eyes and I use artificial tears all the time. I keep a bottle in my desk drawer to use while I'm at the computer. When I picked up the bottle yesterday to put a few drops in my eye, of course since I'm always in a hurry I didn't look and put a few drops of lens cleaner in my eye.

I knew immediately because it felt like liquid fire. Fortunately I did have the tears in the drawer so I grabbed them and poured that in my eye. I called the doctor's office and they said to just continue to flush it out as often as I could. It's much better today and I don't think my vision has been affected at all, but it is still red and my lid feels like it's been through the mill.

Warning to all, look before you leap. Jeez, now I sound like my mother------------ lol

Good idea!

I make sure one door is unlocked when I go outside to work in the garden if not more than one.

DS locked himself in the basement and me out when he was 3 when he was scared by a snake. I had to shimmy in through a basement window, AFTER I broke it.

That reminds me of my younger daughter who had a little son who locked us out on the sun deck at Shad Bay. He was just fiddling - on the inside - with the lock. The deck was about 12 foot off the ground, also located on ground falling away to the sea and after ten minutes of trying to talk him into unlocking it again SHE was the one who had to shimmy down one of the supports. I was just the granny and it was HER son lol

We all have days like that. In February I went out to fill the birdfeeders and forgot to undo the secondary lock on the back door. Windy day so whosh...the door slammed shut. Mom inside with cellulitis and supposed to stay off her feet. I gesture to her I'll go around to the front door figuring it would be a shorter trip for her...but she goes to the back door.

Of course Mom tells the story of me locking the cellar door when I was a toddler...locking her in the basement. Fortunately she could get out the garage and next door to the neighbor who called my dad. After that they gave the neighbor a key to our house.
