I'm curious.

Are Annies Crafts and the Just Cross-stitch magazine all the same company now?

I seem to get daily emails from Annies (have never used them), and Just Cross-stitch is invariable mentioned.

yes they are - and as far as I'm concerned, they better start improving the content or I'm not renewing

I didn't renew and just check the newest issue out at B&N to see if there's anything I'm interested in.

Just yesterday I unsubscribed from Annie's (too much I wasn't interested in) but am still receiving the JCS newsletter. I will probably continue to get JCS because it's one of the few cs mags that still have B&W patterns (I detest color patterns!) and I have nearly the entire run of the magazine. Although that being said, I have not found much to my interest there in the last year or so. Maybe they need to get some different in-house designers (how long has Marie Barber been working for them anyway?).

BTW, Gill, you might want to pop into my shutterfly acct and see the pics from Mandy's wedding (held 8/31).

I should add the new pics of her colt, too. Off to do that!

I think I have another year, but it's a "what ever". I don't mind them finding their way - but I feel like with the ad spam, it's just another money maker.

Be very curious to see what the folks who read antique sampler and needlework have to say

regarding mags, i think I will subscribe to just one quilting mag. I have SABLEx7 for cross-stitch stuff...and need, nor want, anything more.

the folk in my quilting class had never heard of frogging. or SABLe, so I had fun explaining it. On the other hand I had never heard of a FART..a quilty term. FABRIC ACQUISITION ROAD TRIP!! We all have stashes, though. LOL
