I need this chart

Oh, and that chart IS one that I would do to hang at home. Soooo true.

"The bigger the ha'r, the closer tuh God" is how I heard that one. The only sayings that have tempted me recently are Subversive Stitching, along the lines of "F**king Chill, Okay", which tells you how life has been recently! Dawne

Sigh - for the time to stitch right now. I go into work in few hours (only 4 hours) and I think we are going to try and go out for dinner tonight still. And allergy season just hit me up side the head.....

As funny as I find some of the sayings, I think I would chart them differently.

Zyrtec! Claritin and Allegra were essentially useless, so when Zyrtec went OTC, I switched. What a difference!

Not one of them works for me!! BooHoo. The prednisone I am using for the asthma seems to be helping keep the allergies at a fairly low level, though.

There are some nasty side-effects from long term usage though

I reacted badly to Zyrtec. I miss plain old Dristan (mind you that was in the days before we found I was aspirin sensitive).

zyrtec makes me dizzy, but Claritin is wonderful.

Wouldn't know ... I take my Zyrtec at bedtime when I'm taking all my other pills, so if it's making me dizzy when it first hits my bloodstream, I wouldn't know because I'm asleep.

Though I'd still give an arm to have my Seldane back.

Ah, now Seldane made me think I would happily die rather than take it again. Like Zyrtec, it made me dizzy, not just when I took it, but for the rest of the day and for a while after I stopped taking it. Actually, dizzy isn't a good term. It made me seasick - last time I was on a boat for any length of time, the bed rocked all night after I got off it. Seldane had the same effect but it lasted longer.

In DD's case, there are nasty side-effects from even short-term use -- especially on the people who have to LIVE with her! ;)

(Beats the alternative, though...breathing is nice....)

One of the main short-term side-effects for me is a sudden abundance of energy which is quite terrifying for a sedentary chap like me; I agree with Oscar Wilde who remarked that whenever he felt the need to take some exercise he would lie down until the need went away. Bruce

Interesting - I felt so foggy on both of them....

I LOVE my Flonase! It works so well, even the generic, that I actually forget to use it. Liz from Humbug (where the flowers are blooming and the hummingbirds are swarming at the feeders) :-)

Yup - me too. Though I actually have the brand-stuff. And I still do the prescription Allegra - at my doc's preference as I was being an idiot about severe headaches in allergy season, so lo & behold - the Allegra works. And I juat cart around the albuterol inhaler, and imetrex kit for the just in cast stuff.

And it turned out I was allergic to Zyrtec! (Of all the ironies...) Claritin (or better yet, Clarinex, the follow on) is about my best choice, but at this time of year, nothing can get through all the pollen. The only problem is that Clarinex is off limits on my drug plan without massive pleading/multiple filings from doctors etc. every year. So what do I do? Stock up on it when we're home in Canada, where it's OTC! :P
