JCS Christmas ornament issue

Has anyone yet seen the 2005 Christmas ornament issue? Usually it's out by now.

It shipped to LNSs either late last week or will ship early this week, according to my usual sources. Give it another week to actually show up.

Oh, drat!! I hope it gets here before I leave for CATS, because I just *know* I won't withstand the torment of seeing it in the shopping mart and knowing that my copy is waiting at home!

They are in the mail. The shop copies were mailed UPS and went out Thursday and Friday. As usual, it's a great issue.

I was at my LNS on Saturday and she hadn't received them yet. She thought they'd be arriving this week sometime.

Any idea when the subscription copies will be mailed out? IIRC, last year mine arrived about 2 weeks after they were already on store shelves and it drove me crazy!

My LNS called today and said they had mine ready and waiting. :-) Hope you get yours soon, too!

Ok, here's the scoop for subscribers. If you mailed your renewal in early, you will be on the mailing from the printer. (I don't remember off the top of my head when the cutoff date was for the first mailing from the printer.) Those were mailed on September 6. Remember they go out at a periodical rate which is like 3rd class. Normally people start receiving issues about 2 weeks after they are mailed from the printer. However, 3rd class mail is not a priority with the post office. If your post office is backed up, it could take as long as 4 weeks from the mail date. If your renewal was posted before Friday, September 9, your copy will be mailed from our fulfillment company. That list of names was provided yesterday. Every Monday the names and addresses are provided to the fulfillment company for payments received the previous week. Bottom line, if you mailed your renewal early, you'll get your issue first. If not, be patient you will receive it.

Is that clear as mud???

Thanks so much for the info, Janet! I mailed my renewal payment as soon as I received the notice back in July, so hopefully mine is being shipped from the printer and will arrive soon. :-)

Last year I had to call this company FOUR times before they finally sent me one in the mail.

I've been very dissatisfied with JCS for some time now. I'm not renewing my subscription, so I ordered the ornament issue through my LNS.

I received a survey from JCS in the mail a few months ago and I filled it in very honestly and offered some suggestions. All I got was a renewal notice.

Haven't checked their website lately. Did they finally just take it down? The last I knew, it was about 2 years out of date.

Looking forward to getting the ornament issue from my LNS next Saturday.
