I've been trying to access Kay Montclare's website and some other sites that deal with her work, but I've had no success. Does anyone know what's up? I don't see any mention of her name in the group for more than a year. Hoping everything is OK....
:Kay died a couple of years ago, her grandson shut down her websiteswithout notifying her customers, and sold all her pattern books to a usedbook dealer who (rumor) put them on E-bay for a fracton of Kay's price.Grandson did not send an e-mail to Kay's mailing list until 6 months afterher death and after he had shut down and sold everything off. And to topeverything off, he sent the e-mail right before Christmas. Probably washoping that it would be lost in the holiday rush. Thankfully I had collected most of the books that I wanted, and printedout the majority of Kay's articles on needlework. This is a resource thatcan NEVER be replaced. And I have a few choice words to say to that grandson that can not be putinto print.
