I'll be up there for a vacation in August (Soon now, yipee) and was wondering if anyone knew of any LNS's within about an hour-hour and a half's drive from Lake Placid. TIA for any help, Heather WIP: Noah's Sub... 3/4 done!
I never found an LNS, but there is a great yarn store -Adirondack Yarns - and a great bead store both more or less in Lake Placid proper. Let me know if you want street addresses, DH brought back one of those placemat maps when he picked up DS.
If you have kids, hit the North Pole - it was fun!
And if you have a thing for a thrill ride, try doing the bobsled run. It's better than any roller coaster I've been on.

Yes please for the bead store, but I'm going to have to try to give the yarn store a miss. I'm fighting very hard not to let the knitting bug bite me. I have enough XS to last me several lifetimes at this point and not enough hours to stitch as is! Thanks, Heather
