Hi all,

I know several of you are knitters/crocheters, so thought I'd try here.

Several years ago I purchased some yarn.  I finally found a pattern to
use with it and have found I need more than what I got.  I contacted the
company and they replied they discontinued this line of yarn several
years ago.  They sent me a list of stores who had purchased it and I'm
checking with those.  So, I realize I'm on a wild goose chase but I'm
hoping maybe someone here might be able to help.

What I'm looking for is Baby Alpaca Grande Paint, color 8819, lot 57575.

BTW, I had a friend check Ravelry and was successful in finding 1 skein
there! :)  I figure I'll need about 3 more.  I've also posted on rctm
and rcty.

Keeping my fingers crossed....

I've tried eBay, but hadn't thought about Etsy.  I'll give it a try.
Thanks!

Joan I bought some alpaca grande paint (called sandstone grn, grey,
yellow)from

http://www.discontinuedbrandnameyarn.com/shop/

They are in Vermont and buy out shops that are closing their doors. The
also buy out estates yarn stashes. It would be worth contacting them

Re: Looking for alpaca yarn

Most online suppliers seem show this item as either discontinued or out
of stock - but here's one who might have some....well, they don't show
it as not available!

Re: Looking for alpaca yarn

hmmmm... not so sure now about that webpage!

Using the website search mechanism doesn't produce any hits for this
yarn, but that webpage is still viable. Perhaps a website management issue.

Thanks, Anne.  I had already contacted them and they don't have it.  Not
sure why it's still on their site!

Thanks to the wonderful people (like you) on RCTN, I was able to order
two more skeins of the yarn I needed.  The two skeins they had left were
even of my dye lot.  I think I now have enough to safely start knitting
on this project.  WOOHOO!

Thanks so much, Jeri!
