New [to me] embroidery book

A friend sent me Sheila Paine`s book Embroidered Textiles, Traditional patterns from Five Continents ,,,,, Rizzoli, 1990.

Thus i have a wonderful time readfing and looking at pictures ,,, mirjam

I love looking at some the Native American/Indian pieces. I've gotten to see and hold some lovely moccasins.

Cheryl when i read this comment , i reemmber how facinated i was to see that many of the patterns of Bedouins , Simile or look very much , like the patternd Native American tribes used ,,, I than had some looking into other NUMAD `s patterns ,, it seems that many of the Numad people in dry parts of the world , have similar patterns /forms in the their textiles and other crafts.. mirjam
