I'm exploring some things I read in J. Carey's book ( I posted about it earlier).

I'm currently awaiting a pair of bifocals. Then I can stitch again.

Speaking of old- I wasn't minding my age at all until I completed a survey the other day and realized I am no longer in the "35-44" age group, but the next one up which ends in "54"!!! Speaking of teenagers- could he (and she) be the source of the headaches?? ;) Speaking of stitching- I'm working on BlackBird Designs "Bittersweet Moon" at my weekly stitching group, and Heart-in-Hand "Red House Sampler" at work, and just started Erica MIchaels "Thoughts of Baby" for a new arrival for some close friends. I am loving all the BlackBird Designs- I want to stitch every one! Speaking of eyeglasses- my doc told me two years ago I'm "eligible" for bifocals if I wanted them (I have trouble re-focusing on TV after concentrating on reading or stitching becuase of the strength of my distance glasses). Being cheap, I started stitching and reading without my glasses, and no longer experience the problem. However, it is inconvenient to not be able to multi-task my entertainment. I now tend to listen to the TV, and have to put the glasses back on to see something of interest, with no focusing problems. Luckily, this time of year the TV has very little that's interesting! Good luck with your glasses Cheryl- I'm sure I'll be asking your advice eventually! MM

Not really, but I am finishing a quickie design in pieced "quilt" style pillow, and I'm sitting here wondering how I lived my life without a rotary cutter.

Be careful with stairs, if they`re your first ones! Until you get used to them it`s easy to miss the first and last step!!!

Just recently finished a goldwork piece of a swallow against an evening sky for a class project. The entire bird was in various types of gold threads, and as well as some of the clouds. The teacher asked why I wasn't in the Master Craftsman program for goldwork - pretty nice considering it was my first goldwork peice!

Currently, I'm finishing all WIPs that are 60% or more done. Have 3 stitching projects left and one family-album project. Then I plan to start test #3 for Master Craftsman in Canvas Embroidery. I have to create and stitch the design for that one. Which, since I've never designed any needlework before, will be a challange.

Not embroidering, but cross stitching a ridiculously intricate chatelaine design...Pompeii mandala garden.

Ooh..I love those designs; one day I'll pick one up.

I'm working on cross stitch, too. A little dog clean/dirty hanger for my sister's dishwasher as my travel project, and Mirabila's The Dreamer for my big project.
