That's interesting. I haven't watched it since the first one or two were aired ? years ago. I can't remember how long ago, but it was a few years, wasn't it?

Me either, although I saw the end of one where the blind guy made it through.

My daughter was the fan, but her practice schedule interferes with watching . . .

LOL - depending on the night, and when we're eating dinner - we may watch. Often it's filler for whatever else we're doing. But, DH likes to watch - it's sort of like the music version of MST 3000. It's interesting in that some people are really talented, some are clearly there for the get viewers to watch, and some are who knows what the heck they're thinking. My cousin is a film guy - who went to NYU film school, and while he's working on his indie project, the last few years has been a producer for Mark Burnett and some other reality types. He worked on the Apprentice for the last 2 NY years, then last had been on "My Super Sweet Sizteen" - it's been a bit enlightening hearing his side of what goes on - behind the scenes, what the people are really like - the whole gamut - of course - we don't get much info until after an episode runs. Seriously big money penalties if anything is blabbed. So, I guess we take that in when watching idol.

The junk tv I can't stand is Hell's Kitchen - but DH loves it. Says all these guys in the hockey locker room are always talking about it. They do show more cooking since Top Chef went to showing us less cooking and more gossip.

As long as we're talking TV - though not junk - I have a Dr. Who question. I just watched the most recent episodes on BBC America (followed by a marathon on the Sci Fi channel on Sunday). Looks like the most recent Dr. is regenerating - is this true - or are they ending the series? I'm thinking someone across the pond will know 'casue I think we're a season behind here.
