I guess I could make this on topic since there are so many of us who stitch while watching TV, but it really isn't about stitching.
The woman who, as a girl of 14, was responsible in a round about way for DH & I having met is going to be on the Pet Star Finals on Monday, March 14. Julie Cardoza and her parrot Zachary. DH helped Julie get her first "real" parrot (she had gotten one on her own from a pet store, but it died within days & she got her money back) and introduced her to a man who raised and trained parrots. That was in 1980 or 81. I worked with Julie's mom and DH worked with her brother.
She isn't allowed to tell us how she did, but the show will be aired on Monday & we're very proud of her no matter how she does in the finals. :-))) I have to put in a shameless plug for DH, too. He is the one who made the swing, skates, skateboard and bicycle for the parrots. Zachary LOVES to perform! I've seen him at live shows and he is such a ham - especially in front of an enthusiastic audience. :-) Liz from Humbug
