OT: GeoBear Stsatus & Photos

Here's today's posting about GeoBear from Di (RCTQ) in OZ

*************************************************************************** Hi to Geobear's friends,

He went to school today and had his photo taken with the Grade 1 and Prep children. He gave each of the children a hug and behaved himself very well.

On Saturday he went to Hastings and saw the Pelicans and SeaGulls who all said Hi. He had his photo taken with an English visitor by the name of Adam who was also pleased to meet him.

He will be flying to New Zealand tomorrow on the next part of his 'Around the World' trip.

Postcards and photos will be posted as well.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to take part in this wonderful project.

DI - thanks for sending GeoBear on.

Joyce, unfortunately he will not be with you for Christmas as I have to fly to Australia this afternoon for my mothers funeral. (This is now a very sad Christmas) If GeoBear is in the mail now he will arrive at my place a couple of days before I get back. I will send him onto RSA before new year.

I'm so sorry for your sad news. I wish you all well over your bereavement, and hope all goes smoothly.

i didn't really expect Geobear so soon, because of the seasonal post glut, and will await him patiently.

Thanks for your kind thoughts everyone, it has been a tough week. Mum's passing was quite sudden but the funeral went well.

However I am back home now and have GeoBear. I will take some photos of him enjoying a summertime Christmas and get him on his way to Joyce in RSA before the new year.

I think my new year resolutions will be 1) don't put anything off and

2) enjoy every day that comes, life is too short to do otherwise

{{{{{{Annette}}}}} Thanks so much for doing this under such stressful circumstances. Take GB somewhere that makes YOU happy, get a photo of him there and send him on his way.
