OT I'm Back!

I haven't checked to see if I missed anything, but I finally have power again. Darn snow in October. New England had an incredible amount of damage. I have friends that still don't have power and might not till Sunday. We were lucky our house never went below 49 degrees and we only had to sleep there, which wasn't bad between all the blankets and havign both cats to keep us warm. My work has everything you need from showers, to game systems tv and couches, to free food and drinks so we pretty much lived here with everyone else. It was wonderful of my company to offer it to our entire families.

Good for you - I gather Cheryl is still out. We lost power for several hours, but that was it.

Glad to hear from you, Margaret! So awful about the storms hitting so hard in NE - I've been playing phone tag, and texting with Cheryl - who was still out of power last night. Your company sounds fabulous - good thing. I believe Cheryl, and her DH, were similarly at least doing the showering thing at work - and IIRC, her DD likely had some locker-room facilities.

So, have you been stitching at work during the hanging out, stay warm time? I don't envy you - after the 2 weeks of no power in winter about 8 years ago

- that did it. Burned a lot of wood in the old fireplace - sleeping bags, comforters & the dog all curled up together.

No stitching accomplished to loud in the game room where we all were. There's xbox kinect, air hockey, ping pong, fuseball, etc. So we were playing games. I did get some reading done when we went home to pet cats before bed. I'm hoping to get some stitching time this weekend. I am way behind on a Christmas present.
