OT: inheritance

I received a check last week from the animal hospital that treated our kitty, Taz, before he crossed the rainbow bridge on Christmas Eve 2009. I haven't had any need of their services since, and was certainly surprised at this unexpected "windfall." (If, indeed, $30 can be considered a windfall.)

I called the pet hospital, thinking they must've mixed up accounts and it was some other Susan Hartman who was owed money. (It is, after all, not a totally uncommon name.) Well, lo and behold, it was the refund for some unused medication we'd turned in after Taz's final illness in 12/09.

I'm of the mind that it's our "inheritance" from him, and probate was just completed.

Well, so Taz was indeed able to provide you something nice, even after moving on. Of course, in his memory you'll have to use the windfall for some appropriate stitching luxury that will do his memory proud, and you'll enjoy.

Ellice - who is happy that Puckster has recuperated from his big surgery 2 weeks ago, and finally out of the collar of shame, and able to run, jump and do stairs as if nothing had happened.

If and when you ever need a vet again, their honesty would truly float to the top.

You could always use the "windfall" to purchase something special for your current "baby". Of course, I assume you DO have another baby!! If not, use the $$ to do towards adopting a new fur baby for your family :-). Taz certainly seems to be making sure you remember him -- as if you could ever forget :*-{. Let us kmnow what you dop with the $$ -- *IF* you do something fun. If you need it to pay a bill that's OK, too, but we don't need to be nosy about that sort of thing :-)). CiaoMeow >^;;^<
