I know people will have a hard time believing this, but it is absolutely true. We have justt had a general election. One candidate, a woman, stood in a riding in which she did not live, and in which she had never stepped foot in. During the whole campaign, she never went to the riding, did not have an office, put out no signs; in fact she did nothing. In the middle of the campaign, she took off for a week's holiday in Las Vegas.
She was elected by an overwhelming margin, gaining over 40% of the votes cast in her riding.
