Quickie Celebrations report

I'm liking the new shops and watched in awe as Margaret bought a fabric stash of incredible proportions in just one shop! LOL. I'm indulging my floss addiction with floss grab bags and did a make it and take it yesterday and am looking forward to the different twist with the same teacher today. Never did locate my carefully place badge holder.

More Monday or Tuesday.

Was the shop Dove Stitch? I will confess I bought into their buy 4 multi-packs and get a fifth one FREE!

The only thing DH has said is to buy enough to keep me out of the bars.

Yes it was at Dove stich. I am so tired of not being able to start anything, becuase I have charts, floss, and magazines but no fabric. Thanks to my dear MIL I had birthday money to spend and it went to getting the fabric, a wonderful hand made wooden pin cushion and a chart. I am looking forward to finally making some of the ornaments from the ornament magazines. Fabric is too expensive for me to get more than what I am currently working on, so when I saw how good the prices were there went my bday money. :) When I got home Friday night my DH's eyes popped out of his head when he saw the pile of fabric and the price. He was absolutley stunned. He occasionally stitches, so he knows how much that really should be selling for. I got up there at 4pm looked through the vendors, had a wonderfully cooked salmon for dinner with friends, and then hung out until I had to go home.

Sat morning I had a lovely blackberry scone made fresh at a wonderful bakery Cheryl took me to. Went shoppping for supplies for an EGA basket raffle. The presidant is going to be so happy with the purchases Mary D and I made. I'll be mailing it this week. I hung out a lot in the stitchers lounge working on my project for my DH's Aunt. It was great seeing so many old friends and making new friends. Lunch was bought at the same backery, since I forgot my coat there and Cheryl and I had to go back and get it. The sandwhiches were amazing. It was a lovely day so we had our sandwhiches outside in the courtyard. Evenentually we finally made it up to my room I shared with Bobbie V and relaxed and stiched in the room with Bobbie, Cheryl I, Evelyn M, and Michelle. The five us had a good time relaxing before getting in line for the Sat night event. We were in line early enough to get a table for all 10 of us that wanted to sit together. The Sat nigrht even was a riot as usual with out table getting one of the least embarassing tasks to do in 60 minutes to win our prize. I spun the task wheel (I was team captain), and it thankfully landed on an easy game. My team did a great job and we one fabric and a really nice candle holder. I almost forgot I took a really easy make it and take it with Cheryl that was so easy and a lot of fun. It made a puffy flower. I got a lot of compliments on that. We were the only two people in class, but I think wearing it to the Sat night and again Sunday morning helped, becuase the Sunday class had a lot of people in it.

Sunday I had a lovely breakfast with Bobbie. After that I went shopping with Bobbie and we met up with Georgette. I picked up a chart Cheryl decided she did want from Linda Keske Studio and I picked up two for myself. I went home after that and had a lazy afternoon. It was a wonderful weekend, and I am looking forward to going again next year.

Thanks for the reports. Sounds like fun. Maybe someday I'll get to a weekend like that.
