Who has a recommendation for a really good book on ribbon. I'm leaning toward finding the A to Z book used someplace, but only because I have had such good luck with the other A-Z series. Most of my books have some ribbonwrk, but just not quite what I need.
Cheryl, look for any of the books by Di van Niekerk. She's from S. Africa, and does amazing stuff. This is a link to a book at Amazon:

big project on the cover was sort-of taught by someone when I was stillmanaging the LNS. The project is fabulous, it include stumpwork. But, Dihas some other books, including the One on One Workshops. Take a look ather books - they're really lovely. FWIW, Di herself was very nice to workwith.
As you know, from our chat, I like the A-Z Book of Ribbon Embroidery as well.
For ribbon, YLI makes silk ribbon, which is the least expensive around, and can be found at a lot of LNS, and sometimes the craft chains. Definitely saw it on-line at JoAnns. Gloriana & Thread Gatherer do gorgeous hand-dyed ribbons, also in multiple widths. Finally, I got some fabulous ribbon from River Silks last time I was at market - and the LNS (Needlewoman East) will order from them (they're pretty local here). Gorgeous stuff - check out their site - and I think the prices were very good compared to some of the others. I have a full set of the Victorian Overdyed - if only I could find it.....
I sense a story there! I'd say come on over ether day but I'll sleeping males. DS is home from college and DH went second shift for the duration of a project.
Were here for a couple of days. I got a little map from On the Edge, and I noticed the that Ribbon seems disconnected from the rest of the trails. Is there a connector to link it to lunch loops now?
