Slightly off topic - especially for Brat and the other knitters

DD and I are watching a rerun of CSI NY. One part of the story is taking place at a dog show and it isn't ringing true at all.

Especially since the murder was done with a bamboo knitting needle - a big one and the owner of the knitting needle tells Mac (? I get the characters confused) she knits things for her dog.

And the blanket and coat are clearly crocheted.

As for the rest - while a dog show might have a vet there, I don't think he's handing out doggie downers. Or people downers for that matter

It's disqualifying but done anyway to give dogs downers to get them in the ring, but they wouldn't come from any official vet. Usually there's a local vet on call, but not on the show grounds.

We figured that was merely a plot device.
