Vision and needlework

If the problem is becoming very serious, ask your GP about the possibility of thyroid level affecting your vision. If the GP refers you to the ophthalmologist for a specific medical concern, your insurance will probably let you get around the 2-year restriction since it wouldn't be a routine vision exam. I had to do this when my GP was trying to help me with my cluster headaches.

FWIW, I hate that 2-year restricti> I'm not sure. I've been hypo thyroid since I was 2 or 3 years old. I wore

Jenn Liace had some very interesting things to say about Re: Vision and needlework:

My current prescription is as follows:

Right eye: -8.00 sphere Left eye: -7.75 075x090

I do not understand what the second part of either means. :-)

My glasses prescription is written as good for two years (I don't have vision coverage, so can get an exam/new glasses when I and the checkbook agree to do so (smile)).

I remember on a past occasion (I think this was in California, where I'm still living) that I got prescriptions for glasses and contacts in the same trip. The contact lens prescription was good for one year, the glasses for two.

I also have that kind of vision. Don't have the numbers handy now. I also take my glasses off for close stitching.

Problem with that is not being able to read the chart without putting the glasses back on. I've been toying with the idea of getting a pair of glasses with the bottom cut off and a reading prescription ground into the top half. Does anyone have any expreience with that type of lenses? Seems to me to be a good comprimise

There must be some equally low-powered alternative, (meaning "not going so far as Warfarin!") Liz. It`s quite a common allergy and it`s important to keep the blood thinned.
