Well, I tried.....

I wanted to stitch this afternoon. DH wanted to watch the football game (Patriots or the Giants). I tried to stitch with football in the background. Didn't work. At all.

So, I finished reading Night Train to Rigel by Timothy Zahn. Quite good. Read the November issue of Discover (very funny article, in warped way, on the physics of bras) , flipped through a book on metal work and another on bead weaving.

Now, the boys are off to hockey and DD is watching kid TV. Can't stitch with that on either.

I can stitch with ANYTHING on (prefer not football, though!) I keep the tv on and more or less use it as radio - with pictures if it SOUNDS interesting!

I like to stitch to science, nature or history. Craft shows sometimes, or cooking. I can do baseball or hockey.

And definitely not SpongeBob Squarepants.

How is that you can't phase out sports?? I tend to phase all out. Last night Jim put on a CSI which I hadn't seen. I listened to it, and stitched. Right now I can't tell you what thr hell went on!!

I just finished reading that "Physics of Bras" article about an hour ago. That's got to be a mistake though, the part about 23 pounds per for a D cup. I mean, I've seen some big ones in my time but an analog to a huge Thanksgiving turkey is a bit much. They must have been thinking along the lines of one kilo and mistranslated the 2.2 lb equivalent.

There is something about football that I just can't ignore unless I am reading.

WORSE - DD appears to be becoming a real little jock!

I think they meant two 10 to 11 pound turkeys. I could believe that; I read some place that a woman who has her DD's reduced to a B cup loses an average of 20 pounds.

The article made me think of a comment made by an old boyfriend while watching a very busty woman jogging; "Ah the wonders of complex oscillatory motion."

I slapped him.

Remember, Victoria had a huge reduction. I wish I remembered more details.

And I've seen someone that I would easily believe 20-25 pounds each! I do think Mother Nature had a little help!

I can believe about 10 lbs each for D cups. My shoulders believe it anyway! LOL

I really must ask why you slapped him. Jill and I had a very sensible arrangement, that I was encouraged to look, but never touch. Just curious.

A very good friend of mine has F cups (un-enhanced) and is quite petite and otherwise down right skinny. She has her bras custom made and buys one or 2 a year. The width of the straps is amazing, close to 3" over the shoulder. She jokes that she will get a reduction after her husband dies.

Jim,

It wasn't the looking, it was the longing in his voice.

Hardly tiny! I'm 5'6" and need to lose more weight! Steady as it goes, I lost almost 50 pounds in 25 weeks on Weight Watchers.

I gained a ton when I quit smoking ten years ago and never lost it. So, I'm doing that now.
