What next? Bored with Rotation!

I'm bored, bored bored bored, with my current rotation.

I had a new project (reward) planned for when I finished St Sylvestre, but since the fabric I'd ordered wasn't the color represented online, I had to return it (btw, for the record, I am SO not thrilled with Silkweaver's idea of customer service).

I have not as yet bought fabric in person to replace the fabric I had to return.

So....

I could pull out any one of my many UFO's...several TW's sort of appeal, Angel of Cross Stitch might see the light of day for first time in years...

I could start the Quaker Friendship Sampler I intend for my brother for Xmas...

Several other unstarted items lurk in stash, some already kitted up!

Caryn (who did pull out an old UFO last week, and made good progress, but is ready to stitch on something that doesn't have black fabric!)

you off and get it finished and out of the way.

I'll let you finish up the bib I'm working on. Would everyone out there please smack me upside the head for buying a project that 1) has a deadline (friend's baby due in two weeks) 2) is stamped with no accompanying chart and indistinguishable shades of blue 3) is on Aida

4) is a kit with insufficient floss

Seriously, if no project calls out to you right now, why not take some time off from stitch> I'm bored, bored bored bored, with my current rotation.

Stitching urge is still there, just not all that interested in current rotation of projects.

And you know I have a ton of UFO's to pick from! rofl

I'm sure if I sit down and sort thru them, one will say "STITCH ME!"

Caryn (thinking that reaching for the sweets sounds like a lot more fun!)

Caryn, When I get bored with something I am stitching, I start something new, but small. I'm talking the 1-2 evening kind of project. Enough to take a break from other projects, and get a feeling of something accomplished, but not start another big project.

I've also been experimenting with stitching small images to use in my greeting cards - did the first, a little elephant, to put on a baby card for a friend. (Rubber stamping is my other main hobby).

It's a good plan. Seems that nothing in my stash is "small" other than stuff in my years of back issues of various Xst magazines! lol

I picked up TW's Peaceable Kingdom. It's supposed to be for my mom someday, so it's a good one to give some attention to!

At least you are stitching something! Since the pink horror isn't assembled yet, and I've finished the little cat, I'm really dragging my feet about working on anything else. I should do the frogging necessary on St. Germaine, but I haven't had the heart for that, either. I COULD work on Crystal's eye, but I just haven't had the strength of will required for all that confetti, once the eye is done...

There are just too many books for me to read! Tegan

I'm crashing in late on this - one WIP is languishing 'cause I just don't want to do the metallic flosses, one - I just got bored with it.

My solution would be to grab one WIP with the least amount to do and one smallish new project that you have all kitted and ready to roll.

Work on a doodle cloth to practise any techniques or stitches that you've heard about and have never done or want to perfect.

That's what I do, too...pick a Christmas ornament and do that for a "break", then I can feel virtuous for having an early start on next year's holiday. And it feels so good when you pull it out in November and realize it's one less gift you have to worry about then!
