Ok - working a truly funky schedule, sometimes in at 8 AM sometimes at
12 and some times at 2. Make's it hard to get into any kind of rhythm. I am enjoying it as always - 99.9% of customers are easy to work with. The odd jerk does happen and sometimes I end up playing sympathetic listener, but hey, it's a paycheckI'm working away on the plastic canvas penguins, two complete, one is in need of frogging and one is nearly done. They are so cute and I went out the other day and got most of the finishing supplies. Realized last night as I planned my errands, I don't have anything prefect for the hanging bit unless I have some black or white silk rat-tail around.
Kid stuff -
DD is playing hockey (of course) for both her Ladies Team and the middle school team. It is always interesting when the two teams intersect. Many of her MS team play out of the same rink and of course there is some time spent talking to those boys. With half the girls from her team trying to flirt with these boys. Dang that is funny to watch.
The other big thing with her is that she has a "boyfriend". It's official on FB and everything. So far, it seems to be texting each other and such. Still very unnerved by the whole thing, but her grades are still very good.
the only negative for her right now is she has "That B*tch" for computers. The name is universally used by all parents who's offspring have had to endure a wasted class with an impossible to please woman who hasn't updated her class since she started teaching it... she all but tells them Al Gore invented the internet. And she's realized that she's DS's sister (he got out with a 70.1 to barely pass) and is riding her extra hard. This class was a joke 6 years ago and remains one.
DS - sigh - got a speeding ticket and I get to go to court with him Monday. So he can get his license suspended; maybe we can get the fine dropped. On the plus for him, his grades continue to be very very good
oh well - I have real stuff to do on the computer
Take care all
