Wowwww... A looong time!

Hi guys! What a blast from the past.....I've subscribed to this group off and on over the years, starting about the time DD1 was born.... (I keep losing the group when I move or change computers...) So many names I remember - Tia Mary (who I met once at Attic Needlework in Phoenix, if I remember right), Fred, F. James Cripwell, Karen C, Cheryl Isaak, and I've been making bobbie's recipe for Naked Ouampies for years - Yum! - and lots of others! Nice to see you all again! Hope Tia Mary's trip goes well...

Hello Lisa, Looks like one can take the girl out of RCTN but you can't take the RCTN out of the girl!

Hmm... don't know if there's a way to respond publicly without my personal email getting blasted all over and picking up spam - fortunately my filter is good...

After traipsing from one side of the continent and back twice we have been in Northern CA now for about 10 years. The 2 DDs are getting awfully grown up - the elder will start high school in the Fall. They're both complete nut-buckets! always funny and pert and bouncy, and they still come up and give me a hug and kiss when I volunteer at their school. Let's hope it stays that way a little longer...! Lost two fur-babies and gained a new one (current total of 2 cats). DH also developed a passion for marine aquarium-keeping, so we have an always- rotating posse of fish - they seem to like carpet-surfing... I'm still good at finishing projects (late) to give away, rarely to keep. And a good friend enabled a long-hidden fascination for quilting by giving me a gift certificate to the LQS last Fall, which I used to sign up for a class. So I've been quilting manically for 6 months and need to get back to my x stitching! Except that now I'm getting entrenched in this year's Christmas gift - 4-sided placemats for every man, woman, and child in my family. 3 each, with fabrics for each month of the year. This comes to over 100 placemats. By December. Did I mention I'm good at getting projects done (late) for other people? :-) So I'm not sure when the x stitching will work its way into the picture... Especially now that DD1 is done with soccer so I can't take my Dutch Treat tabletoppers to the fields with me.

Nice to be back! Lisa
