Wrinkled Mesh

Hi everyone,

Each Christmas I stash ornaments etc. away to make room for the Christmas decorations. While doing this today I discovered a 14 inch X

12 inch piece of 32 ct. silk mesh. I also discovered some smaller pieces of 32 ct mesh that's not silk, but I'm not sure what the material is. However since both were crammed in the back of the drawer and long forgotten, theyve become quite wrinkled & creased. I'd love to use them still but don't know if the white lines formed by the wrinkles will ever come out. Does anybody know please? I hope I don't have to wash them because then the dressing will come out and I'll be left with limp mesh. lol

Have you thought about just ironing them in damp toweling?

Actually I haven't tried anything yet. I'm so afraid to try anything lest it ruin the fabric. But that sounds like it would work! I'll try that in the morning, thanks. :)) It's not just the expense of the silk mesh, but the fact that the only shop to carry it takes nearly an hour to reach through heavy traffic.

That makes it tougher yet.

If you have several pieces, I'd tried it with one tiny piece.
