I like some of the clay equipment on your website, and the wherewithal to make it.

Hi Brad Thanks for visiting my site. I had seen yours before and bookmarked it. Nice to meet you. You have a really good site, very informative. Would it be ok with you if I included it in my favorite links? Take care Guy

Hello, Guy.

I think the main qualification is an abiding interest in working in clay.

Welcome.

Hi Steve Good to meet you. Onion soup sounds pretty good about now. Central Alberta is in the midst of a deep freeze. It was -20 F this morning and -45 F two days ago with a wind and I spent the day thawing out the water system for the cattle. It's supposed to start warming now though.

Take care

you know those concepts of using a torch while throwing pots might be extremely useful to you right about now.

here in southern california we got a lot of rain recently and it went WAY down to almost 50F in my workshop!

had to use a thing called a heater!

Hi Guy!

Ummm - did you know that Canada went metric about 30 years ago??? ;-)

I was there when it happened - lived on Vancouver Island from 1968 to 1977. Am now living in Switzerland, though.

Welcome from a semi-Canuck! :-D

Hi Marianne Come to think of it, I must be a semi-Canuck as well since I began life as an American. But I have lived here since 1962. In Alberta we still curse "Old Water Hole" for the metric system. (there may be some Yankees in the group who don't speak Canuck, eh?) Nice to meet you Marianne

Hey :-)

Naaaa! Over 30 years saying "eh" makes you a pretty real Canuck in my books! :-D

I don't get "Old Water Hole"! I have to admit, when it happened, I was only in the 6th grad, not paying much attention to politics other than being able to quote "Fuddle Duddle!" hehe!

I visited your site, but I didn't see much finished pottery. Got a link to more? I love to see other people's creativity - and have plans to show my own as soon as I get a round toit! ;-)

Right now, I am removing wallpaper in preparation to painting in our new house, so I will have to leave it for a good while yet!

Glad to see Canucks on this board - I miss the Canuck spirit!

Hi Well, you're in the right neighborhood with the fuddle duddle quote. The literal English translation of "Trudeau" is water hole. Sort of an irreverant nickname at the time. I am working on another page with just pictures of various crafts, including pottery. I am Very much an amateur but I still like doing it and give most of it away. Do you have a site?

Aha! I was closer than I thought! Hehe!

I am also VERY much an amateur, but some of the things I make work out ok ;-)

I don't have a site showing my pottery yet. Maybe in the fall.
