Can someone/anyone recommend a good book on low-fire pottery -- e.g., throwing/hand-building, glazes/glazing, firing, kiln recommendations, etc... Thanks. Rick

It depends how low you want to go. If you are thinking sawdust firing and similar low temp techniques, Ceramics Monthly has a publication called (I think) Barrel, Pit, & Sagger which has received high praise from some practitioners I know. Another book I know and rate (I've got it) is Sawdust Firing by Karen Hessenberg, a Batsford Book in the Complete Potter series. I understood it was out of print but I see it is offered by Amazon on both sides of the pond. That one covers a lot of techniques very well.
