Does anyone know how to adjust the Display Properties for the monitor? Yesterday my computer decided to change ITSELF to 640x480 16 color and I can't make it change back to what it was. The bar that is supposed to slide to change the settings won't respond at all. If anyone can help I will be forever in their debt. Gaye, ticked off in Texas

It sounds as though your monitor driver has become corrupted and the monitor is running on the default driver.
(In case you don't know, the driver is a little bit of software which tells the computer how to talk to a particular sort of device, and sometimes they get corrupted.)
If you are running Windows, you will need to go to the Device Manager (through System on the Control Panel), and re-install the driver. If you don't know how to do that, let me know what version of Windows you have (98, XP, etc), and I will try to step you through it.

I was so desperate I might have considered it. It would have been cheaper than hanging on the phone waiting for tech support!
