My methodology may not be in harmony with other's system for putting together a quilt. However, I hope you can share in my joy of having put those 783 pieces into a VERY Scrappy Tumbler quilt top. I have it stretched leisurely over my 96 inch quilt frame so it can "breath" and get acquainted with oneness.
That should get you to my web site. Then stroll down to where it says Quilt Gallery There is also the Pictures I've painted. And Family picture. I was just out there to the site today.
My excitement stemmed from the JOY of finishing the "top" I have not matted or backed or quilted it yet. I will let you know when I do. I may put it up on the webshots as it's easier to do it that way. Too bad I don't have a digital camera. No use putting it on my list for Christmas as we made a pack not to gift buy this year.
The Arkansas Beauty is now living in Illinois with my nephew who was living in Arkansas at that time. The Jewel Box is bright and cheerful, but I have to admit I don't remember to whom I gave that one. Having birth nine children, have nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren (another on the way in May) the quilts are scattered from coast to coast. This Tumbler quilt is for my grand daughter Abigail who is about to enter Art College next fall. I need to get it ready for her before she leave home. She lives in Connecticut.
Thank you all very much for sharing my good feelings.
I love your words "get acquainted with oneness". Isn't it just a wonderful moment in quilting to see that the struggle and decisions and stitching has become a creation. Much like cocoons and butterflies, methinks. Polly
