A gift of space for you

Leslie and I were just talking about something nice we do for us and for the furry faces at Christmas time. We are both 'gifted' with fabric that will never see a quilt from our hands. Not only does this fabric occupy precious space but it yells at us every time we reject it. If you need to make room and would like to hold down on the racket of neglected fabric, send it to Jill. Cold weather is here for lots of us and the dear pups at the shelter Jill makes quilts for. She welcomes contributions of any quilting fabric. The sweet-eyed guys at the shelter don't care if it's a dreary mauve or an 'impossible to ever go with anything' print. So. Make yourself some space for something you really love in your fabric storage area. Make a happy box for Jill and warm some puppies. She also welcome batting leftovers. My box to Jill this Christmas includes a lot of Civil War fabrics. @#! Mississippi hasn't ever decided that was over. Does anybody here have Jill's website at hand? Polly

And Jill will gratefully accept any thread and sm needles (those 'universal' or 'knits only ball point needles' you accidentally bought?) that you want to pass on to her along with ANY fabrics that are washable... it doesn't have to be the cotton fabrics we all love so much. And don't forget the UPCs that she collects for free batting from the manufacturer--- but I can't remember which one it is??? Help!

And you could slip a few dollars in an envelope and include that as well. I'm sure she has expenses to deliver her finished quilted cuddles to the animal shelters.

Thank you, Connie. Here's what you need to know from Jill's website: (I don't know how to kill the bold and different font, I sincerely apologize). Polly

If you would like to help, please contact me at snipped-for-privacy@webtv.net

I am always accepting unwanted washable fabric including cottons, knits, denim, polyester, fleece, flannel and etc. Also any color of thread and UPCs(barcodes) from Hobbs brand battings.

I came into some really old double knit fabric that I have hung onto for years. Knowing that I would never use it for anything quilty, I still hung onto it knowing that someday I would find a use for it. My DDIL's Mom runs the Long Island Turtle Rescue organization. That double knit found a home. She makes bags to ship the turtles in when she finds a home for them. I think I have a piece left over that I can send to Jill for one of her critters. I'll have to dig through the tub to make sure though.

Hugs, Mika
