a semi-relevant question

Can you print iron-on transfers with a laser printer? I should know the answer to this, but I can quite find it in my head this morning. Last time I did iron-ons I only had an inkjet. Now I have both and don't know which one to use. I'm making a design for some canvas bags for my piano students.

No you can't unless you have special paper meant for laser printers. Since laser printers use heat to create the image if you use regular iron on transfer paper you'll have a melted mess inside your printer.

Glad to explain! A squishy is an envelope that contains fabric, a fat quarter or a square or whatever you wish. It kind of 'squishes' when you pick it up. We mail them off to each other all the time for all kinds of reasons, to cheer someone up, or surprise them for their birthday, or help out with someone collecting a certain thing, or just for no reason other than to say, I'm thinking of you. I got the title Queen of Squishies a long time ago because I became totally addicted to sending them out. : )

Karen, are you going to use 'store bought' iron-on sheets or make them yourself with a fine weave ironed onto freezer paper? My commercially made sheets say for 'ink-jet'. I guess you could see if you have any instructions on your package. If not - or actually - if so and anyway, perhaps you would want to try just one to see how well it does. I doubt the bags are going to get lots of washing and ironing but you can assume they'll get plenty of wear and tear. The canvas bags is a super great idea. I would have enjoyed one back in my learning piano days. Polly

I use my HP Deskjet 3520 to make my transfers. I just bought some T-shirts at Michael's for $2.00 each. Pami

You must use paper for laser printers. I have seen them at craft stores and office supply stores.
