what is it about those darn sock monkies!?!!?!? I"ve like them for years and years. Finally bought myself the pattern a few years back for the actual sock monkies and started them....found them again while I was "clearing my clutter" about a year ago and pulled them out so I could finish them.....some day

He's just so well-named, Charming he certainly is. You just can't look at one of those guys without smiling. He brings back a very strange memory. The Grandmother in the family made the children sock monkeys for Christmas. They loved them at first sight and cherished them. She was just so Offended when she visited and saw that the children were actually allowed to 'touch' the monkeys, going on and on about how hard they were to make. Little did we know that we were supposed to build a sock monkey shrine for them or something. Polly
I've never had a sock monkey, never made a sock monkey, and I'll be dipped - I don't even know how!! But ---- gosh oh dear ---- that quilt is just downright adorable!!! Thanks for sharing!
