Another You-Pick-It Swap Quilt Finished

I don't want to admit how long it's been since this quilt was started! As some of you will remember, Terbear hosted several swaps. In the You-Pick-It swap, we each chose a focus fabric and then sent a 12" square to each of the other members of the group. They, in turn, added fabrics from their stash and made a block using your focus fabric and returned it to you to be assembled into a top.

I loved the movie Nemo, and came across the perfect fabric with brightly colored clown fish. I couldn't pass it up, and I'm glad I didn't. We have some wonderfully creative people in our group - as you all know - and what they did with that fabric was just outstanding.

After a series of delays, last night I put the final stitch in the binding and took pics this morning. I definitely have to work on my photography skills, but if you can ignore that for now and would like to take a look at the blocks made by some of our members, the quilt is in the 2011 Quilts folder in my Webshots album (link below). Thanks!

That is just gorgeous Louise! There are some amazing blocks there, but I particularly like the one down the bottom with the fish swimming through the reeds. Don't know why, but it just jumped out at me.

Well done to everyone who contributed. Sounds like it was a fun project all round.

Thanks for the kind words, Leigh. I feel bad that I don't remember who made that particular block. I know it's someone who hasn't been on the group in quite a long time, but I just don't remember her name.

The swaps were a lot of fun - and would you believe I have four more to f> That is just gorgeous Louise! There are some amazing blocks there, but I

A Christmas quilt before the holidays? piece of chocolate cake, Louise! You have 11 months to go before the next Christmas!! ;-D

While rootling thru' baseball swap fabric last week, I came across a bunch of stars, in every color, configuration, fanciful, cartoon, dark, bright, serious, subdued, all kinds of variety. And that started another plan....

Swaps are good!
