checkin in and need good thoughts

Hej everyone! Just wanted to pop in and see how you all are doing. I haven't been checking lately as life got busy and because I have to go thru Google groups and it is a pain for me. I have read a few posts and am dancing and praying with y'all. And had to search back for Polly's joke (and a few of the others posted too) I haven't had a chance to quilt lately. Guests and volunteering at the schools and such have kept me quite busy. I have done some beading and I did get a refresher course on finger knitting, so the kids and I are making tons of tubes to fashion into scarves. Everyone who sees mine wants one lol...

as for the good thoughts... DH's job has been eliminated ie he was laid off. So we are searching for something here if at all possible, but keeping a semi open mind to moving again if need be. I am dusting off my resume too. I had hoped to wait til next fall and get something part time, and maybe go back to school, but I may need to bite the bullet and get a full time job now. No idea what i want to be when i grow up lol but we would like to keep the kiddos at the same schools if we could. And we'd like to not move away from my parents. They might follow, but that is a lot to ask them since they just moved here 5 yrs ago and have good docs and such.

so... I will pop in from time to time, And try to get back upstairs to quilt soon. Y'all keep my seat available? I'll bring the chocolate next time I come :D

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and safe, enjoyable season to all of you!

Good to see you Kellie; not good about your news. People often get a bit more after the turn of the year; so maybe some employers will start re-hiring? Will his current place help with getting him a job somewhere else? I hope you can postpone worrying until next week. Time enough for it them ... ... . Hope that your DH will find a job soon. Unemployment rates here in my part of Florida are supposed to be amoung the highest they have ever been. Barbara

Kellie, it's so good to see you! I missed you in Houston this year, but I know things get busy when you have kiddies at home -- though I'm sure I'd be amazed at how big they are by now!

Best of luck to you and DH in the job department; I really hope you don't have to move.

Merry Christmas!
