You can make neat seat pads for your outdoor furniture, and even rugs for your porch with plastic bags, and they don't rot or get moldy. When they get dirty -- just from sitting outside -- all you have to do is hose them off!

Here in the park in FL there are a couple of ladies who make these to sell. I am #5 in line waiting to purchase a tote bag for my sewing craft bags. They are really pretty and neat looking. Barbara in FL

Howdy!

Ah, the '70s are back.

These were big, along w/the crocheted plastic bread bag hats, esp. w/ the beer can inserts, w/ so many of the Winter Texans, back in the 1970s. Became popular again in the late '80s, late '90. Every 10 years, another plastic bag crochet trend swings by... . ;-D

Howdy!

Use old t-shirts; a bit tougher to cut into strips but very durable.

Excellent idea! I cringe to think anybody would start getting plastic bags again from the store just so they can crochet up a bag. We've worked hard to take our own reusable bags with so we don't get paper or plastic anymore.
