Would anyone want my EQ5?

I wouldn't dare, Karen. I think I would be so mesmerized by it that I'd never leave it. Kate T (over on the 'other side' of Mississippi) showed me what she can do with her EQ and it's just better that I don't get too close. Plus - I still need to learn how to use the telephone. Polly
I'm all right when I'm using the one with a 'wire' attached! (I won't get a wireless keyboard or mouse for the same reason - how can the 'electric' get there if there's no wire: I just don't get it >gg< . In message , Polly Esther writes
They do need to be charged :-)

It sounds like a lovely offer, and I would love it, but... why don't you need it anymore?

I ain't a'skeered of geeky stuff! However every time I try any art programs and suchlike I end up with a very strong desire to chuck the whole computer right out the window. I have pencils and paper. I even have protractors and compasses and rulers. It is so much easier to get what I want with a pencil! Now the fabric math, computers are excellent for math. That is a lot easier to do on the computer, and a lot easier on my stock of erasers.

Now, now, Pat. You have a flashlight without wires, right? No problem. I have a keyboard that powers by batteries and a mouse that does the same. They work just fine until they need new batteries. Then, they're helpful enough to blink wee red lights saying "Put in new batteries or else". What they don't tell you is, after that, you have to punch the reset button. I really don't remember why I wanted the keyboard and mouse to have no wires. Probably it had to do with marauding Yorkies flying by and snagging one or both wires and crashing either to the floor. Some days there are as many as 4 Yorkies here and I have to defend myself and property best I can. Polly
I have a partition on my Mac hard drive for running Windows so I can use Wild Ginger. It works very well.
Here is some more to boggle about. When I was out in Colorado last summer my great-nephew who is not quite
13 did the point at the wrist and raise the brows motion towards me. I took out my pocket watch and handed it to him. He was boggled. He had no idea how to read it. It is your typical clock face with hands and roman numerals, winding knob at the three. Not only did he not know how to read a clock with a face, he couldn't read roman numerals!NightMist
After some searching around, I see that I no longer have the instruction book, or the registration number. So is this disc junk?

I have the EQ5 and it's not hard to use at all. Great deal for someone.
Check with the people at EQ.

Don't the schools still have clocks on the wall that are a regular clock face & not digital? Can't believe a 12 yo can't read a regular watch/clock!

Neither could I! I thought for sure he was having me on. Then for a second I thought it was just the roman numerals and told him to just ignore them and look at where the hands were. He got upset with me, so it must have been real. I did use my pocketwatch to show him how to read a clock, which made me feel very much like my great-grandfather. I don't think he much saw the use of it.

Contacted them, and they sent me a generic serial number so the program can be used, it just can't be registered. And they said they hope my friend enjoys the software. : )
Now just where is that Jo today? I know she was pretty sick. Wondering about her...
