Finally Finished!

I finally finished my grandson's crib quilt, and just in time as his ETA is this Monday, the 21st. As always, there are many little mistakes and the quilt was another learning process, but I'm mostly pleased with it.

The camera/flash makes the blue look rather turquoise, when it's actually more a denim blue, but I'll take another picture tomorrow in daylight.

Just thought I'd share. :) You can have a peek if you like in "Grandson's..." album. Thanks to all for your great ideas and for so patiently answering my questions along the way.

What a cheerful quilt! Toby looks a little possessive of it, though - you might have to make one for him too!

LOL. :) That's my fiancé/spouse thingy, Charlie.

Thank you everyone for your encouraging comments on the quilt. I appreciate your input. Now I can't wait to start something new. :)

Nancy, that's just adorable -- right down to the mustache at the top. ;) I'm delighted to see that the quilt passed Toby-inspection -- though I'm not surprised at all.

Sandy...and Sandy E -- I've been giggling aloud here for a few minutes. When I first read Sandy E's comment about the mustache, I'm thinking, "Mustache? Now, ::scratching head:: what's a mustache?", thinking that I had added something clever to the quilt without even knowing it. Boy, do I feel duh! Noowww I get it! Hehehe! Time for more coffee, I think. :-) (I shouldn't have mentioned this -- now you'll all think I'm completely ditzy!)

Hi Nancy,

Lovely, lovely quilt. No doubt, your grandson is going to feel quite comfy & cozy. :-) As for mistakes, you must really be picky because I didn't see any!

Congrats!

Piggybacking - that is so pretty Nancy. Lucky GS

Of course if it was meant for Toby he wouldn't go near it LOL. I made both my white cats light coloured sleeping pads but they prefer my dark navy quilt.
