Finished Quilt

At long last I finished my teapot quilt.

It's the one called "Little Tea Pots" in my Quilts album

I started embroidering the blocks in 2003 when I sprained my ankle. Then I worked on them off and on for years. I finally got the top put together in

2008 and started handquilting. I finally finished the quilting and got it bound just after Christmas. So I'm doing a great, big happy dance!

That's a charming quilt Maureen! That would look really pretty on the wall in a kitchen or family room, or.....anywhere....

Cheers Bronnie, just having a cup of tea as I type.

It's lovely, Maureen. (So long since I did any embroidery). That looks so very pretty, and the fabrics go together beautifully. Definitely worth the wait. . In message , Maureen Wozniak writes

Simply delightful, Maureen. I love the traditional feel of the bluce and white and the embroidery. You deserve that happy dance big time!

I haven't quite decided where to put it yet. It's a bit to big for our dining room and we have no wall space in the kitchen that isn't shelves/cabinets or windows. So for now it's just folded over the back of a chair.

And I'm not entriely positive, but it seems that despite all my careful measuring one side might be longer than the other. Sigh!

I think you're right. It is the same pattern! And it was fun to work on.

Actually, my downfall is my lack of patience. I think I could do so much better if I weren't always in such a hurry to see the finished quilt. Seems like there is always some little mistake in measurements or something that is just off and I'm sure it's because I hurry too much.
