free quilt design software

Have any of you heard of... or used "quilt assistant"?

Here is what is says on their website: "QuiltAssistant is free design-software that can help you to turn your photos into quilts. Rather than the traditional approach of breaking up the photo into little squares ('watercolor style') it allows you to divide the photo into pieces of arbitrary size and shape. On completing your design, you can print templates including seam allowances."

They reference Windows Vista -- so sounds like it will run on that...

I'm just curious if any of you have any experience with it...

Thanks...

PS -- No affiliation -- just was searching for drafting quilt blocks -- and came across it... so I don't recommend it... nor do I advise against it... all I know is what I found on the website today.

That looks pretty cool for us folks challenged by the Quilt Pro program.
