Free Winding Ways

I got an e-mail from the designer, Linda Franz, that she is doing a free download for a very limited time of her winding ways design book.

I popped over to her site and it's a 75 page book with all sorts of design ideas for layouts as well as the patterns in three sizes.

Her product, inklingo, has you print the pattern directly on the back side of the fabric with an ink jet printer. Then you can cut and sew accurately; there are even match marks to make curve matching easier.

Anyway, I thought some of you might be interested. I'm totally not affiliated and have never even met her :-) But, I always think "free is good".

The only headache I thought was to get the free download you have to go through the whole shopping cart rigamarole.

have fun! marcella

I love using Inklingo. I have met Linda, but am not affiliated with her. A note about going through the shopping cart to get the "free collections and books" on the site is that Linda feels it helps some people get some "practice" using the cart and download without spending money. So that when they are ready to buy and download the collections they will have had some practice with it and not be so "fearful" of doing it wrong. I highly suggest that everyone who might be interested in any of the Inklingo stuff download the free LeMoyne star collection and try it. Also download the first (free) chapter of the Inklingo Handbook which will help you get started with Inklingo. You can use Inklingo in so many patterns and designs. Anything that uses the shapes/sizes that are in the collections can be used instead of regular rotary cutting and such. And with a bit of work you can resize a lot of designs to use the Inklingo collections. The new "Fancy Dresden Plate" collection is stunning. So much more than the traditional Dresden Plate (although that is also a collection.... go look at all of them.) Inklingo is a tool, like a template or ruler and is so versatile and user friendly with wonderful support from Linda as well as others on the Inklingo yahoo group.

Thanks for mentioning it here, Marcella.
