Freezer Paper Help

I have been having a heck of a time getting my freezer paper to stick to my fabric. When I looked on the box it said plastic coated. Hmmmmmm Is there a brand you use that is wax coated? Should I be using waxed paper?

Waxed paper is not the same thing!!

Freezer paper sticks on *one* side, the side that feels waxy (but it is a plastic). Put that side to the fabric.

That's the right kind. Maybe you were using too hot of an iron and melted it all. You just need a quick touch to adhere the paper to fabric. You might have a finish on your fabric that is repelling the plastic. Keep trying, but don't try to use the freezer paper like you would Wonder Under or another fusible. It just doesn't work that way. KJ

Do not use waxed paper!!!!!! As has been said, make sure you are using the right side of the paper, I use the iron on a cotton setting and I press fairly firm. They do say that you should also preshrink the paper with a hot iron as well because the paper does shrink but I find that it doesn't allow it to stick as well the second time when it is pressed to the fabric. Also remember if you are not doing a symmetrical design to reverse the design so that it comes out facing the right way. If you undersand that!!!!

I use Reynolds freezer paper btw.

I just looked at my roll of freezer paper and it says the same thing. It's "Reynolds" brand. I don't use steam when I'm using it, and I use a cooler temp setting, and just give it a quick "once over" on the fabric. HTH.
