Going to quilt show tomorrow

Tomorrow, I'm off to a small quilt show in our local town and fingers crossed going to ask the quilting bee organising it, if I can join them. Seeing as we are new here, I figure that it should be a good way to increase my social circle and maybe learn some more French. So fingers crossed that if they have a waiting list that it isn't too long. I'll let you know how I get on.

Byeeeee

Only if you consider anywhere in France "close".

Don't I wish! I was in France earlier this month... my first time!!!

However, spent in sitting in CDG airport!! :-( We were flying from St. Petersburg, Russia to the states... and they routed us through Paris. We should have arranged at least a couple of days between flying in .... and flying out!

The show was great, about 3 dozen quilts, but there are only about half a dozen members - seems quite a new group. I've met the lady in charge, so I'm going to their next meeting in September, can't wait! She asked if I had any fabric, and DH nearly fell on the floor laughing - can't think why? ;p)

Patchwork - le patchwork quilting - le quilting

This french language "ain't" so bad after all!! Hehehe

I bought 2 French Patchwork Magazines in France last year,'Magic Patch'' and 'Quilt Mania'. Yes they are French and in French!! However, even I can understand Le bloc Nine-Patch and La bordure. They were 7.50 Euros each.

Both had lots of adverts in which you might find useful for supplies/locating quilt shops, and are the sort of magazines you keep and look at again and again. I got them from a newsagents, not a quilt store.
