Happy Birthday, Pat in Va.!!!!

Howdy!

And many mooooooore!

Pat, I hope you're covered in chocolate (certainly a more appealing meal than poor Polly who's about to be thrown from her balcony and eaten without benefit of chocolate covering). Hope it's a quilty birthday and that a big piece of cake has your name on it.

Just had a chicken fajita salad in Ft.Worth-- I'll claim that's a celebration in your honor. Each of these dark chocolate mints will go down the gullet w/ your name on my breath. mmmmmm....

In honor of your & Frood's annual quilting week I have Finished a warm & cozy quilt of brushed cotton (aka flannel) from Northcott's Herbal Garden fabric :

darling husband says, "It glows!" [His aunt has just gone thru'breast cancer treatments and I'm thinking this will be a niceCuddle Quilt Hug for her to wrap herself in this chilly winter.] Next on the docket: a table runner for s-i-l, the one who met y'all in Houston this year, right before she fell in love w/ batik fabric. She's a nut about purple (some one has to be) and wanted me to combine her purple batiks w/ some dramatic greens-- that I can do! (it's the faded purple & boring dull green combo I can't stand) Got the table runner put together, got the backing cut, some Hobbs Thermore batting in the sandwich, time to pin and begin the handquilting. Nona intends to add beads & other embellishments.

And so, furthermore, in conclusion and so forth, while Polly Jz was doing Dramatic Readings over there in ol' Miz-sippy, SOME of us have been and still are quilitng and Finishing and sending squishies thru' the mail (hi, Bronnie!). ;-D

This is my birthday gift to you, spreading the Good News.

All together now: Happy Birthday to you... ... .

Cheers! Ragmop/Sandy

Butterfly (once again back at the compie cause there is NO MORE painting until the Studio is finished. (((Aside here:::: What is it with the neighbors- You have COLOR! Real COLOR on your walls.......I just say: "like my friend says 'It's just paint' and if you don't like it you can paint over it" Guess you're right, now what color should I do or no wonder your a quilter or I "knew" there was something different about your house when we drove by last night ))))

I'm surprised to report that I didn't git et. Did get some chew marks around the edges. Pat's going to just have to do better publicity next year - announcing that there shall be no family emergencies permitted, no illness, no nuthin. We need to make our priorities perfectly clear. And one priority is to sing; and a-one and a-two, "Happy Birthday, dear P-a-a-a-a-a-t", Polly

But Pat is so original and doesn't follow so I could never call her a Ewe!
