I've been busy -- 2 new quilts

  1. I got another commission this month from one of my tennis club ladies (third in total) for a baby quilt. Just the sort of client you want --" whatever design you come up with (I love all your quilts), pastel colors, whatever cost!" It was great fun to make over 2 weeks. Got a few ideas from magazines, but basically my own design.

  1. Tree Quilt Challenge. Guild challenge using exact dimensions and had to be a tree of any description/interpretation. The quilts are going to form an 'avenue' at the entrance to our Open Day next month. Should look fabulous. The organiser said she has some great entries. I don't think it is going to be judged.

As some of you know, another of my loves is cooking, so I have volunteered to cook the scones (biscuits) for the Open Day, some 500 or so. I've sourced a mix whereby all you add is water and I have three other helpers. Should be fun! Tested out the hall oven at today's meeting and gave the committee taste tests. Came up trumps! We are providing free 'Devonshire Teas' for all guests and members.

Well done on another commission, Bronnie. It is a really sweet quilt for little Bella. Well done you. As to that amazing tree quilt - words fail me. I love that I can't quite see how you made it >gggoing to be judged.

Bronnie, I'm really blown away by that tree. The baby quilt is really wonderful, but the tree is like the rest of your quilts -- original and gorgeous in a breathtaking way. Perfect. Too bad it won't be judged because I'm certain it would be a winner.

Your skills and talent are truly amazing.

Sunny jealous and very inspired

Bronnie, What wonderful work! I love your friend's attitude - whatever you come up with. And you came up with a winner. She had to be delighted. And your tree is so innovative. Very nice work. I agree that the "avenue" should look fabulous.

Okay, now that we've seen the quilts, where are our samples of the scones? I haven't had breakfast yet, and I'm hungry!

Oh my. How incredible that you can switch from such a wildly creative tree to a gentle, adorable baby quilt. Both are wonderful. You must have been first in line when God was giving out talent. Polly
