I was wondering how the squares would look if I arranged them on point. Didn't want to lose my design wall arrangement and remembered you had said to take a picture of an arrangement to safely keep it. How sweet it is to have just a little bit of camera skill. We discussed recently making quilts for those who were queasy and nauseated from chemo. Probably this would not be an appropriate comfort for them - but it surely would jazz up an Old Folks home. What a wonderful, happy quilt! I love the way your eyes move across the entire quilt- the stripes keep you going and the colors are so nicely balanced. You did a GREAT job with those stripes! Love it!

I vote the regular setting -- NOT on point (although that's cute too) and I like using the lime green for setting triangles with the pink for a border next. Either way, it's going to just sing. Polly you have a real winner on your hands.

Oh MY! On point is even prettier! I love the peach-y colored fabric for the setting triangles.

Yummy!

Another vote for on point, but I can't decide which colour for the setting triangles

An on-point setting is supposed to give a sense of movement. However, a quilt with all lot of stripes can also make one's eyes move over a quilt. So, IMHO, the regular setting is nicer in that it takes my eyes around the quilt but leaves me points of rest. The combination of all those stripes plus on-point gives a little too much movement for me -- unless you want to really enliven someone's day :-).

I really like the on-point. It seems more "woven" somehow. Peach is pretty, but I think a bolder color for the setting triangles would be nice. Hot pink or lime green. even black.

If you can't find a home for it, I have one that would welcome it with open arms! amy in CNY

It's fuzzy when enlarged there for me too so I forwarded Susan the original photo - which may or may not be better. The technical skills here are minimal (or less). I DO know that the more gigas or something, the longer it takes to send. Maybe I know that. I just plod fearlessly along. Scary, huh? Polly

And every time I try to enlarge any of the photos, I get a message that says "Only Friends may download this photo". I don't go anywhere near the download button but it still tells me I am trying to download the photo. VBS Oh what I would give for a machete and the strength to wield it!!! CiaoMeow >^;;^<
