Long Arm Quilter

A few years ago, I sent out a quilt top to a long arm quilter named Diane. I think she lives is Ohio. She did a fantastic job. I can't remember who recommended her and I have lost her contact information. Would anyone here know her? Hello again, by the way! It's been a long time since I have been on the newsgroup. I just talked to Sandy/Ragmop and had a nice visit. Unfortunately, she wasn't the person who recommended Diane. I still treasure the quilt that I made from the "hug" blocks many folks here sent to me a few years ago.

Nice to see you BigBearLady. One Diane I can remember is Diane Curtis. I don't remember her as a long arm quilter - though she might have been?

Drop in again sometime. . In message , BigBearLady writes

Hey, Phyllis! I remember you, too. Welcome Back! I don't, however, remember Diane, but I use a terrific shop in Tennesee. They always do a great job. I don't know if they do heirloom machine quilting, but they do a great job with all over quilting. the address is: Ann's Quilt Shop, 3611 Ringgold Road, Chattanooga, TN

37412 PH# 423-698-8000 or email Teresa at: Teresa at annsquiltshop dot com (change obvious) she is a great help and can email you their price list. Good Luck! St. Paddy's day is tomorrow, so I'm sure you'll have some! amy in SoCal (formerly of CNY)

I would love to have her information. It is good to "see" you again, too. I found the old information for Diane Huff from Wooster, Ohio. The email I sent to her bounced back and I left a message on the answering machine of her phone number. I guess it is no longer her number. So it will be good to give Susie Myers a try. I will contact her and take the quilt with me when I go up next week.

Hey, Ginger. Are you still in Lompoc? I thought of you a couple of months ago while I drove by in my new RV. I stayed in Buellton and Pismo Beach. I have been having great fun with the RV. It is only 24 feet long, but it is just right for just me and my two four footed friends. I have a 13 pound Yorkie (probably a world record, and she isn't over weight) and 7 months ago I rescued a puppy. Her mom was a chihuahua and her pop was a Shih Tzu. She is a cutie. They are pretty good travelers and love to go camping.

To keep this on topic.....I just finished my log cabin blocks for a nice lap size. I will probably quilt this one myself after I sew them altogether....it does work better that way :-)

Oooh, BBL, with a little RV you can make a plan to come visit us from rctq. I recall your travelogues [for some reason the description of fields of broccholi growing stick in my mind]

I am in Ventura County now. Long story. Would love to get back to the northern Santa Barbara County area, but jobs openings in my line of work are few and far between.

Thanks for the info. Taria in Victorville, CA sent me information for a lon= g arm quilter in Big Bear, where I have a cabin. I just arrived at my cabin= today....two feet of fresh snow in the last day and half! I met with the q= uilter and left her with two lap size quilts. I'm getting lazy in my old ag= e. I had planned on doing one myself, but decided she is better equipped. A= t least that is my excuse this week:-) She has a wonderful studio next to h= er home and she showed me some of her work. She does beautiful work. I was = planning on staying three nights at the cabin, but there is more snow forca= st for tomorrow and Thursday, so I will be heading back to Palm Springs tom= orrow morning before the snow flies. I have guests arriving in the cabin (i= t is a vacation rental) and I would absolutely have to leave on Friday. It = seems easiest to leave before chains are required. Thanks again to Taria fo= r the lead to a local quilter.
