Looking for garden theme fabric

I have this old goat of a neighbor (age 78) that puts out a garden every year. This is a massive garden. I've been helping with the harvesting, canning and freezing of the produce for weeks now.

I've been thinking of making him a lap quilt as a thank you for an ample supply of fresh vegetables this year.

I'm looking for fabric that has such things as tomatoes, peppers, squash, green beans, seed packets, plants, etc.

Can't keep this old goat out of his garden in this heat. The heat index has been in triple digits lately and he is out there everyday.... all day.

Can ya'll point me in the right direction.

I saw something on ebay (new fabric) that would probably be just what your looking for. I'll post it if you want it, I don't want to be accused of spaming. (I don't know the seller, I just happened to be looking for the same thing.)

Kate, If you are going to do a scrappy quilt, you could ask for garden fabric donations from us all. Give an approximate size & I know I can dig some out.

No vegetable fabric here but I am an expert on the care and feeding of hard-headed old goats. Don't nag or criticize him, he's doing something he enjoys. Frequently take him a cold wet cloth for his head and neck, buy him a tube of sunscreen that doesn't smell like a hootchie mama or feel like Crisco, Gatorade (the blue frosty one) with ice in a lidded Mason jar is nice, and something salty if he's allowed salt. Kate, I have some lovely fruit fabric here in the stash; some from Timeless Treasures and some from Troy, Riverwood Collection ~ Pie a la Mode. I'm betting if either did some vegetables that they are great. Polly

I have a 17"x23" piece of an old Cranston fabric that would be perfect. You're welcome to it. (Give your snail address to me privately.) It has purple eggplants, red tomatoes, green cabbages, pea pods, and scallions, orange squash and carrots, and light brown mushrooms. It's bright and pretty. The selvage says "A V.i.P Print By JOAN MESSMORE c Cranston Print Works Co. There are pictures of it here:

That's a wonderful print. Glad I'm not walking thru a fabric store or it would have to come home with me! I try real hard not to do ebay!
